!
                    Highlights of 2009/2010!
we are four now

In January of 2009, Janice came on board as Programs Director, Wendell Williams was hired in September, as our Mentoring Bureau Coordinator; Greg Hamilton, our newest employee as of March 2010 is our Special Projects Coordinator.  That's exponential growth!

!
We have had one INCREDIBLE year, and each and every one of you have been played a significant role in helping us achieve this monumental success. Over the course of the 2009/2010 academic school year, we hired three new full-time staff, designed and delivered 8 content rich conferences and 150 workshops facilitated by 96 highly-skilled community volunteers. Of notable mention, our 39th and last conference of this year was delivered in conjunction with the AISD-Hispanic Futures Conference. This combined, "Exceptional Futures" Youth Conference was a huge success - our theme for the day was, United We Stand! ¡Nuestra Fuerza Unida!
In 2009/2010 AAMB also launched 5-unique school-based mentoring/tutoring programs; relocated to a new location; facilitated our first Summer Enrichment Program entitled, Urban.Hood.Place; our first annual Christmas "Celebrating You" Volunteer Appreciation Party; and our first Annual Fundraiser entitled, "Aspire to be Me!" Each event was
a whole lot of work for such a small office, but our slogan says it all - We Might Be Small, But Ain't Nothing Small About Us!" Your continuous support, has played a big part in inspiring us to these greater achievements this year.
In 2009/2010, 5 community acknowledgements and awards were received from, the National Forum of Black Public Administrators; the Austin Bridge Builders Alliance; New Hope Missionary Baptist Church, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and Ujimma Community Foundation of Austin.
To conference, camp and program attendees, all AAMBHF services have been FREE, FREE, FREE! Free for the mere fact, that,  many of you have sacrificed and provided for those with lower wealth, lower-resources.
On behalf of the AAMBHF Board and Staff, we humbly say thanks for your service, your contributions, your words of encouragement - many lives, schools and communities have been  touched, rescued, reached and exposed to a higher quality of life because of your selflessness.
Praise be to God, for sharing you with us, and for what He has done through you to Community. So much more
is in store, as we continue to be good stewards of what has been entrusted.

Wishing you a tremendous Summer,
Michael, Janice, Wendell, Greg, Sadie

While we are a small and growing organization, we hope you will  agree, that, there's nothing small about our vision and ability to deliver. In the coming year, we have plans of boldly going - where AAMBHF has never been before - Dallas, Houston and all of our signature events during 2009/2010...will be brought to scale in 2010/2010

With each new step of faith, we all know it is hard to go, where people don't sow. Which is to say, please consider giving an extra special tax-deductible gift this Summer to AAMBHF so we can continue the work we each have been called to.
Don't Delay - Donate - Today!
